Ian Beck was a member of the U.S. short track speedskating team from 1997-2002, competing at several world cup and world championship competitions before retiring in 2002 and later returning to the sport from 2007-2010. Beck was motivated by what he observed during his career as an athlete to revolutionize the athlete representation and sports marketing space.
After earning his LL.M. in Entertainment Law and Media Policy from UCLA School of Law and J.D. from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, Beck founded Olympus Sports Group to provide athletes with the type of personal knowledge and attention that was lacking in the space.
Beck has since represented dozens of Olympic and Paralympic medalists, partnering them with many Fortune 500 companies. Nearly two decades after securing his first deal for an athlete, Beck is proud of the first-class service Olympus Sports Group has been able to provide in maximizing athletes’ success in all aspects of life.
He currently resides in the Phoenix, Arizona area with his wife and three daughters.
Lila Meesseman-Bakir is a 2008 Olympian. Born and raised in France, Lila’s passion for the water naturally landed her in Synchronized Swimming. At the age of 13 she entered a youth training center before joining the National Team in Paris in 2004. She competed in 5 European and World Championships and the 2008 Olympic Games while earning a master’s degree in Sports Management.
After the end of her athletic career in 2010, Lila joined the aquatic show Le Rêve in Las Vegas where she worked for 3 years, before deciding to pursue a career in Sports Management. She held the role of Athlete Manager at Speedo USA for 5 years, which consisted of leading partnerships of 8-12 professional athletes contracted with the brand. Always seeking new challenges, Lila became the executive assistant and partnership manager of bestselling author & award winning Youtuber Amy Landino.
Lila joined Olympus Sports Group because she believes in providing outstanding athlete representation and creating value for partners at every level of sponsorship.
Jessica has more than 10 years’ experience in sport, events, and nonprofit. She began her career in NCAA Athletics at Syracuse University (Go Orange!) where she managed the Women’s Soccer team after sustaining a career altering soccer injury during her senior year of high school, and spent the summer months working in collegiate baseball in New England. She graduated from Syracuse as a prestigious Falk Scholar, being honored as the graduate with the most promise of changing the world for the better.
Her extensive experience includes stints in the NFL with the New York Football Giants, the MLS with the New England Revolution, an events and marketing agency in NYC, as well as in the nonprofit sector with Make-A-Wish New Jersey and Make-A-Wish Connecticut. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she became the High School JV Girls Soccer Head Coach for her alma mater in New Jersey, where her team went undefeated. Jessica received a graduate certificate from Columbia University’s Sports Industry Essentials Program.
For the past few years, Jessica worked for Sports Business Journal’s 2023 award winning agency, MKTG Sports + Entertainment. Jessica was an integral part of the Sponsorship Strategies and Activation teams representing such brands as FedEx NFL, Toyota Olympics & Paralympics, Jack in the Box, and more. Jessica oversaw several celebrated events such as Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles, Super Bowl LVII in Phoenix, and Toyota’s National Dealer Meeting in Las Vegas alongside her partners, clients, and world-class athletes.
Jessica’s passion is to build lasting relationships and substantial positive impact with athletes, partners, and the community. The quote she guides her life by is Gandhi’s, “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. Jessica is thrilled to be joining Olympus Sports Group to work alongside this best-in-class team.
Jessica currently resides in the Hartford, Connecticut area with her husband and four-legged best friend.
With more than 15 years of sport communications experience, Katie is driven by creating connections and showcasing athletes across a wide spectrum of sports. She started her career at USA Track & Field before joining the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee where she oversaw Paralympic communications for multiple sports and several Paralympic Games through 2020.
As the in-house PR expert for Olympus Sports Group clients, Katie offers invaluable support to athletes and partners, providing strategic media outreach, messaging expertise, and content creation.
Katie’s one-and-only international sporting achievement was winning the 2011 IAAF World Championships – media 800m in Daegu, South Korea. She has since retired from running and enjoys coaching and competing in mountain bike races in Colorado. She resides in Colorado Springs with her husband and son.
In addition to her role at Olympus Sports Group, Katie actively collaborates with many sports organizations and brands as a contracted PR consultant and through her own communications agency, Branham Media.
